I think this is a great alternative for salt. It’s salty enough on all cooked food except for steamed vegetables I find that steamed vegetables need more flavor than just this salt so I add a little extra regular salt but other than that I’ve been able to cook with it and use it on everything and it’s plenty salty enough and besides it’s so much healthier

I had to change my diet for the better and to include lest table salt. This stuff is fantastic. I feel like I get the salt I want and it has a wonderful flavor. I have always loved salty foods and never spared table salt on my food. Then recently, I was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm. Woah! This was a wakeup call for me to cut the sodium out of my diet. I bought Green Salt to help with that.
I'm impressed by the flavor. I've sprinkled it on popcorn and use it to season food that I cook, like vegetables. I love that I can use a half teaspoon or so and consume so much less sodium. I also like that Green Salt contains other nutrients like Vitamin B3 and potassium.

I'm definetely a buyer. I love salt, and butter. I think leather could be tasty with enough of both. Having said that, I need to get away from both. This helps a LOT. I use less "shake" than normal, and still get the salt taste. Works on everything I've tried it on with one exception, to date. Eggs. Can't use it on eggs. I get a seaweed (lack another adjective to express this) taste on them. Only reason I'm giving it a 3. And this may change with more use.

I first found fresh samphire in Ireland, loved it in my cooking, and was interested in its health benefits. I thought of trying to dry it and bring some home (hard to dry anything in Ireland), then found out someone already has! I’m enjoying Greensalt very much. I like that I’m getting added minerals from the sea. It’s a lovely add to my breakfasts. I find that I still add just a touch of sea salt too and it’s perfect.

Today I am making individual egg frittatas using Green Salt. This is the vegetable blend that I’m using to add to the eggs. Green Salt adds the best flavor seasoning so it’s all I need for this recipe. Last night I made a chateaubriand using a little olive oil and Green Salt as the rub and it worked fantastically! With diagnosis of blood pressure and adult onset of Type 1 diabetes I've been trying to eat healthier. I started using pink Himalayan salt initially and liked it, not much taste difference than regular salt. Then an ad for Green salt showed up In my Instagram feed. Thought I'd give it a try. Wasn't a fan of first taste, but that was straight taste from package. But I started using it on my food. Took little while to to figure out how much to use on different foods. Now i love this and have given a few samples to friends to try. Who would've ever thought.... healthy salt substitute. I will definitely be buying more. It seems pricey, but a little goes a long way. I'll probably get 6 months or more from 1 bag. So.....if you want to cut salt intake, get some added nutrients and enhance the flavor of your food......... give it a try.

So, my overall impression of Green Salt is positive. It takes some getting used to. Right out of the package, I thought the taste was very good. However, it didn't translate to that "salty" taste I expected when used in meal preparation. But after using it for a couple of weeks, I'm figuring out how much I need for various dishes and still lower my sodium intake. One thing I do when I just need that burst of saltiness, is to add just of a pinch of kosher salt. I will definitly continue to purchase the product.

I was skeptical about trying the Green Salt however I am extremely glad I did! I have used it on steaks, pork chops, chicken, & veggies. I even tried it as a topping on focaccia bread! It baked well, tastes earthy, and super salty! It did take some time to get accustomed to the earthiness of the Green Salt. I am using much less regular salt since incorporating Green Salt into my diet. Will purchase again!

Hubby had to go on a very reduced sodium diet and was really missing salt. All the food was so bland even though he put tons of herbs and spices on it.
We are SO happy he found GreenSalt! Although we don't cook with it, he is able to use it on his food at the table and it gives him the flavor he was missing, making his meals much more pleasant.
I would add that the smell in the bag isn't very appetizing (much like seaweed or something) but it's not nearly as noticable when he sprinkles some on his food.

Not happy. For 22 bucks and only getting 7oz this is a huge rip off. I had to use two full tablespoons before even getting the slightest taste of saltiness. Bad smell, and powder is too fine. Overall disappointed and would never buy again. I bought this in hopes of safeguarding my health but total disappointment.

My hubby and I needed to cut back on salt. He has Stage 3 kidney disease and was trending in the wrong direction. We got referred to a kidney specialist and we took her advice to decrease sodium and generally eat healthier. Part of that was Green Salt. I saw the ad and ordered some and wow are we happy with it. To make is easy to use I found a tiny spoon and poured the salt into a little bowl. It's next to the stove so I can use it in our cooking and my spouse is equally enthusiastic about this product. His labs over the past year improved so much that we no longer need a kidney specialist! We just ordered our 4th bag and use it on almost everything so hubby has really cut down on his salt use without sacrificing the flavor of salt. This is a game-changer.

I think your salt has a unique taste and flavor. However, I question whether or not it is the genuine Celtic salt I was looking for. I first learned of this from watching Barbara O'Neill's lectures on You tube. I didn't get that burst of energy she talked about after putting it on my tongue and then drinking water. Is there a white Celtic salt that is not so expensive? I really think your salt is priced way too high for my budget. Thank you.

We really do love our green salt. We've tried many salt substitutes over the years -- as long ago as the early 80s. This is the first one to taste JUST LIKE SALT. Yet, you get the health benefits of a plant -- in addition to reduced sodium. I couldn't recommend it more. I guess the only thing I'm missing is how to substitute it for regular salt in recipes. As it is, I just guess and that's OK. However, I use some help with baked goods like cookies. Thanks guys! Great job.

As someone with extreme sensitivity to salt impacting an existing nerve condition, I have tried most of what is out there and find GreenSalt to be one of the best. Unfortunately with the relatively high % of sodium in it, I do not find Green Salt to be that much of a benefit for my situation but the flavor profile is excellent for someone who is just looking to control their salt intake in a voluntary manner.
